Blackpool is a seaside town residing on the North West coast of England, which is immensely popular with visitors from the nearby towns which include Warrington, Liverpool, Warrington and more. Blackpool is also fantastically popular with folk from all over Scotland who often arrive in large numbers in a similar fashion to the hordes of factory workers of old on their company vacation. Occasionally it appears as though the town is awash with accommodation and entertainments and although there is an incredibly amount of Blackpool bed & breakfasts it is better to make early reservations to avoid disappointment. Accommodation varies from the cheerful and cheap to total luxury. Many are situated on the sea front and, if you prefer book something less

Blackpool began to see its first visitors in the eighteenth century who had visited to indulge in  the new fashion of sea bathing. When the railway arrived, from 1846, the resort saw more folk arriving to”take the cure” as sea bathing as it was referred to then. Today you can travel to Blackpool by railway, road or aeroplane arriving there much faster than the early Victorian mill workers who could travel for up to two days from as close by as Manchester.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

The main attraction in the town of Blackpool, in Lancashire, England, which gets roughly seven million visitors every twelve months, is Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach is a funfair of extra large proportions with mind blowing big rides, just a few are the Pepsi Max Big One, Ice Blast, Grand National, Valhalla, Wild Mouse and Zipper Dipper, as well as many, many more sideshows, food booths, children’s rides, thrill rides, games and sidestalls. The most recently added thrill ride is Infusion, the first ever to have a coaster of suspended loops all of it being over water.

Please note: If you are visiting the Pleasure Beach as a group of folk it is possible to make considerable savings by buying a wristband for unlimited rides especially if you will be going on as many rides as you can handle as the cost of each ride soon begins to hurt.
